The first Treatment and Healthcare Service Center for Overseas Personnel in China has been inaugurated at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport by medical facilities located in the Tianhe district of Guangzhou – capital of South China's Guangdong province.

Spearheaded by Guangzhou Modern Hospital, the cutting-edge center is said to provide a healthy spectrum of care amenities to foreigners – featuring rest zones, wheelchair accessibility, health consultations and medical advice, among other things.

During its trial operations, the center received over 200 medical inquiries and provided medical services to about 30 individuals daily, receiving widespread praise.

The initiative is said to reflect Tianhe district's commitment to enhancing healthcare services for foreign nationals and it also sets a significant precedent in the development of international medical services in the country.

Moving forwards, Tianhe plans to further optimize the center's functions, enhance specialized health consultation services and contribute to the city's development as a model for expat medical treatment.
