Xicun Station on Metro Line 8 in Guangzhou has completed the construction and inspection and is now in full operation as of Dec 28.

As an interchange station between line 5 and line 8, it will greatly improve the travel convenience of residents along line 8.

The station is located on the south side of the intersection of Huanshi West Road and Xizeng Road in Liwan district. There are many common and long-distance bus stations nearby, and schools such as Guangdong Guangya High School are also only a short distance away.

Previously, Xicun Station had four entrances in connection to line 5, namely A, B, C, and D. With the opening of line 8, the station has also opened the new E, F, and G entrances.

The station has added two public service facilities, baby care rooms, and public toilets. Other features such as the installation of wide passage gates also greatly facilitate the entry and exit of passengers carrying strollers, suitcases, and other bulky items.

In addition, the station has set up a newly upgraded intelligent customer service center through which passengers can enjoy ticket card processing, electronic invoices, voice inquiries, information inquiries, and other services.
