Heritage crafts, time-honored cuisine take center stage in Guilin

Global tourism leaders gathered in Guilin for the 20th UN Tourism/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook — and the welcome was as flavorful as it was beautiful.

The exhibition paired eye-catching cultural creative products, from carved seals to jade ornaments, with a spread of time-honored local dishes. Hosts sporting traditional dress served drinks, while bamboo baskets slung on shoulder poles offered regional bites to delegates wrapped in tradition.
