Healthy China Academician and Experts Hall unveiled in Guangxi

The Healthy China Academician and Experts Hall's unveiling ceremony was recently held in Gongcheng Yao autonomous county of Guangxi, marking the hall's official settlement.

The hall established in Gongcheng consists of a result release hall, academician study room and academician meeting room, among other areas. The new facility gathers the supreme wisdom of academicians and experts and will carry out industry-university-research cooperation projects.

It is committed to promoting the development of the local healthcare industry and meeting scientific and technological innovation needs. It will give full play to academicians and experts' leading roles while gathering innovative resources, cultivating scientific and innovative technical talents, and promoting local independent innovation and industrial optimization and upgrading. 

The unveiling ceremony was attended by Yu Mengsun, academician of biomedical engineering at the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Liu Zongchao, academician of United Nations International Academy of Ecology & Life Protection Sciences; Lu Yaoru, academician of the CAE, and master of Traditional Chinese Medicine Wei Guikang.

Before the unveiling ceremony, a forum on health system engineering was also held. Academicians Yu Mengsun and Lu Yaoru, Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine Wei Guikang, and nationally famous Chinese medicine doctor Tang Yixin held a dialogue with the consuls of ASEAN countries regarding building "a community with a shared future for human health." 

In recent years, Gongcheng has been committed to the cultivation of healthcare talents, researching and formulating Yao medicine talent training plans, speeding up the legalization of Yao medicinal practices, and promoting the integrated development of the healthcare field and health preservation.

In 2018, Gongcheng meticulously selected 20 outstanding medical technicians to study in 15 key minority medical bases across the country.

It successively held seven TCM training courses, trained 230 medical practitioners from the Yao ethnic group, selected 106 TCM practitioners to study in higher TCM hospitals, and selected six TCM backbones to learn from veteran TCM doctors as apprentices.
