More than 300 participants attended the event, including international guests and government officials, experts, and scholars from higher education institutions, research institutes, and enterprises.

The talent-themed sub-forum, organized by the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education under the auspices of the GBA Science Forum, has been held annually since 2023.

This year's forum focused on talent supply-side reform driven by new quality productive forces, exploring new paradigms and mechanisms for deep integration of industry and education in the era of artificial intelligence. It also aimed to enhance the effectiveness of vocational education in translating scientific and technological achievements to better support the construction of a modern industrial system.

In his address, Lin Rupeng, director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, emphasized Guangdong's commitment to further advancing digital empowerment and comprehensively promoting the integration of science, industry, and education, highlighting the importance of aligning education and talent chains with industry and innovation chains.

At the academic report session, several experts shared insights on the challenges, reforms, and practices of talent cultivation in the AI era, while the signing ceremony featured an agreement between the German Cultural and Economic Promotion Association and the Greater Bay Area Science Forum Secretariat.

The roundtable discussion provided a platform for experts to offer suggestions on cultivating application-oriented, skilled talent during the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) period.
