China and South Korea deepen hydrogen partnership
The China-South Korea Hydrogen Energy Innovation and Transformation Cooperation Forum took place on Dec 7 in Guangzhou's Nansha district as part of the 2025 Greater Bay Area Science Forum (GSF). The event brought together experts and industry leaders from both countries to advance practical cooperation in hydrogen energy.
Building on the inaugural 2024 forum, this year's edition experienced notable growth in size and participation. Guangdong, a leader in China's hydrogen energy industry since 2015, has built a strong industrial cluster supported by comprehensive policies. South Korea's expertise in technology R&D and policy frameworks complements Guangdong's scale, making this forum a vital platform for future collaboration in the hydrogen economy.
Yao Huarong, chairman of the Guangdong Association of Science and Technology Management Research, emphasized that the forum promotes mutual trust and meaningful collaboration through its presentations and networking activities.'
