The committee shared views with Liu Shaobo, deputy secretary-general of HIST, on cooperation with international organizations. At the meeting, the two sides discussed such topics as the role of the forum, cooperation with international organizations and space technology on world heritage protection and expressed their views on strengthening ties between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in scientific and technological innovation.

The two sides said they will maintain close relations and protect cultural heritage and the development of space science and technology.

ISDE is a non-governmental international scientific organization initiated in 2006 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. ISDE has played an important role in international academic exchanges and project cooperation, promotion of "digital earth" technology, environmental protection, disaster management, world heritage and natural resources protection, and combating terrorism and maintaining world stability.

HIST is the world's first world heritage research institution based on space technology approved by the General Conference of UNESCO and China's State Council.

IRDR aims to unite national natural science, socio-economic, health and engineering experts to carry out the description and assessment of disaster-causing factors, exposures, vulnerabilities and risks at regional and global scales.
