Gao Fu

Gao Fu is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an international member of the National Academy of Sciences, the Royal Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Medical Sciences, and the African Academy of Sciences, as well as a member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and the Brazilian National Academy of Sciences. He is deputy director of the National Natural Science Foundation Committee, and director of the key laboratory of pathogenic microorganisms and immunology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He also serves as the dean of Cunji School of Medicine at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Gao mainly engages in research of cross-host transmission of pathogenic microorganisms, infection mechanisms and host cell immunity, as well as public health policies and global health strategies.
