In September 2017, the Chinese and Foreign Gala "Meeting in Dunhuang", as a highlight of the second Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo, left a lasting impression on Chinese and foreign guests.

The performance aimed at promoting the Silk Road spirit and supporting the joint development of the Belt and Road Initiative. It incorporated various art forms including dance, instrumental music, vocal performances, acrobatics, and song-and-dance performances.
