A Confucius cultural festival was held in Juxi village of Pan'an county in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, on April 7, featuring an array of cultural performances and interactive folk custom displays.

This year marks the 2,576th anniversary of Confucius' birth and the 895th anniversary of the relocation of Confucius' 48th-generation descendant Kong Duangong and his clan to Juxi village. The clan has since taken root in the countryside, carrying on the traditions of education and gradually developing the "Wuzhou Southern Branch" of Confucius.

Today, Juxi village boasts the third-largest Confucian ancestral temple in the country and is also the largest settlement of Confucius' descendants in Jiangnan — the region south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.

During the event, poems were recited, blessings were read aloud, and traditional food was distributed, showcasing the customs of ancestors. There were also exhibitions of intangible cultural heritage items, offering unique activities that allowed participants to experience Confucian culture up close and highlighting the distinctive way in which Juxi village promotes Confucian culture.
