Yiwu Cujia Trade Co based in Yiwu, a county-level city in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, has transformed the landscape of cross-border e-commerce for overseas sellers.
General Manager Tu Hongming discovered a lucrative business opportunity — helping overseas sellers search for Chinese goods in 2015 when he started his entrepreneurship in Yiwu. To take advantage, the company developed an innovative platform known as CJdropshipping in 2017, which boasts a nationally leading cross-border supply chain system.
The platform enables global sellers on third-party e-commerce platforms to enjoy a range of services, including product selection, order processing, and shipping, through mutual shop authorization.
With mutual authorization, overseas sellers can move the products from CJdropshipping into their own stores. After the prices are changed, customers can place orders. "Then we will deal with the procurement, logistics, and warehousing," said Tu.
Leveraging the platform, overseas sellers can operate with no storage and low capital. The platform also provides services like product customization, quality inspection, and product video shooting.
With over 1.2 million registered small and medium-sized sellers, predominantly from overseas, CJdropshipping has become a hub for cross-border trade, aggregating over 6 million products from across China.
In addition to warehouses in Jinhua and Dongguan, Guangdong province, the company has also set up overseas warehouses in countries including the United States and Germany.
Looking ahead, Cujia Trade is seeking to expand its reach to Africa through the establishment of Yiwu Cufei Technology Co and planning to build an industrial park to further support domestic and foreign individuals in the cross-border e-commerce sector.
