An international cultural learning group activity recently took place in Wucheng district, Jinhua, Zhejiang province, with more than 10 international students from countries including Cameroon, Thailand, Benin, and Vietnam gathering with residents to experience the charm of traditional Chinese opera.
The activity kicked off with volunteers introducing the participants to the singing and facial makeup of the Peking Opera. Subsequently, local Peking Opera enthusiasts and volunteers from an art troupe delivered a series of spectacular Peking Opera performances, showcasing the unique allure of this traditional art form.
The international students not only got a glimpse into Peking Opera culture but also tried to learn about singing Peking Opera, while sharing their own countries' distinctive opera cultures.
Guided by social workers and volunteers, both students and residents eagerly tried their hands at drawing their facial makeup, creating a lively atmosphere.
