Zhejiang China Commodities City Group loaded its first batch of used cars destined for Algeria at Yiwu Port in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, on Oct 21.

The initial batch of exports consisted of 97 vehicles valued at nearly 8 million yuan ($1.12 million), including popular models such as Volkswagen T-ROC, Golf, and Toyota.

This export signifies a breakthrough for the company and widens the gateway to the North African market for used car exports in Yiwu, a county-level city in Jinhua. It is a solid step for Yiwu toward its goal of establishing an automotive export service center under the Belt and Road Initiative.

The company's used car export base was put into operation on Oct 9. As a comprehensive platform for used car distribution and exports, it will make full use of Yiwu's advantageous location and the concentration of merchants, efficiently integrating supplier resources and market demand information for used car exports.

Used car exports have emerged as a new driver of high-quality development in foreign trade. Zhejiang China Commodities City Group will continue to promote the diversification of the used car export market, standardization of services, and innovation in business.
