Jinhua's Pujiang sees tourism boom during National Day Holiday

Pujiang county in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, experienced a tourism boom during the National Day holiday as major attractions saw a surge in visitors.

Xianhua Mountain scenic area, in particular, was bustling with tourists marveling at the picturesque landscapes and snapping photos. Visitors like Mao Qianwen from Ningbo praised the beauty of Xianhua Mountain, highlighting its captivating terrain and excellent services.

The Yupaopao Countryside Base exuded a festive vibe with its array of popular activities like ziplining and family-friendly amenities such as slides. Laughter and joy filled the air as tourists indulged in playful experiences.

Dafan Camp's natural allure, meanwhile, attracted both domestic and international tourists. Eugenie Tcheutchoua from Cameroon expressed delight in experiencing Chinese camping culture and the delicious local cuisine.

The Shangshan Archaeological Park also saw a huge influx of visitors. The Shangshan Site is the oldest Neolithic archaeological cultural site in both Zhejiang and the downstream region of the Yangtze River. 

The park attracted around 3,000 daily visits from Oct 1 to 5, totaling 14,000, according to the bureau of culture, radio, tourism, and sports in Pujiang.

Additionally, the Shangshan Site Museum is currently under construction and is set to become a hub for the preservation and research of Shangshan Culture, which dates back to about 11,000 to 8,500 years ago.

Construction will be completed by the end of 2025, said an authority from the Shangshan Cultural Site Management Center in Jinhua.
