At the World Skate Games 2024 in Rome, Italy, 15-year-old Xu Jing from Yongkang, a county-level city of Jinhua, Zhejiang province, made an impressive debut by winning the silver medal in the youth women's speed slalom event with a time of 4.91 seconds.

Xu's performance highlighted her talent and potential. Her coach, Pan Yushuo, expressed satisfaction with her performance, emphasizing her bright future in the sport.

Xu's father, Xu Kangqiang, shared the family's pride and joy, noting that her achievement is a testament to her hard work and dedication. He mentioned that the entire family watched the livestream and felt immense happiness for her success. They are excited to see her continue to excel and bring honor to her country.

Xu began roller skating in 2013 at the age of four, inspired by other children at Lizhou Square in Yongkang. With her parents' encouragement, she quickly developed a passion for the sport. Her first major success came in 2015 at a competition in Jinhua, where she won gold in the 200m and 500m time trial in children's Group A of women's roller skating.

Over the years, Xu has consistently performed well in various competitions, winning numerous awards. In August, she won the youth women's speed slalom event at the National Roller Skating (Freestyle) Championships, further establishing herself as a rising star in the sport.
