A cross-border freight train departed from Jinhuanan Railway Station in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, on Aug 30, carrying hosiery knitting equipment and spare parts bound for Vientiane, Laos.

After arriving in Vientiane, the cargo will be delivered to the Laos factory of Zhejiang Mengna Hosiery Co through the China-Europe Railway Express (Jindong Platform).

This new route makes it significantly easier for the company to ship equipment and raw materials, eliminating the need for multi-stop sea shipments that used to take around 15 days.

In response to the company's logistical needs, the China-Europe Railway Express (Jindong Platform) provided a "door-to-door" cross-border logistics service for the first time. The comprehensive service not only covers loading and unloading but also includes overseas customs clearance and warehousing.

Upon arrival in Vientiane, the goods undergo rapid customs clearance, allowing the company to receive them promptly at its Laos factory.

The introduction of the customs "railway fast clearance" policy further enhances efficiency. This policy enables advanced customs declaration, reducing transit times to as little as five days. The expedited process allows the company to optimize production schedules and accelerate fund turnover.
