A Yixin'ou (Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe) freight train, loaded with various small commodities, departed from Yiwu West Railway Station on Aug 12. As of that day, Yiwu Customs had overseen 1,139 such trains this year.

The Yixin'ou freight train service, now celebrating its 10th anniversary, has opened 20 routes over the past decade, reaching over 160 cities in more than 50 countries and regions.

In June, the first full-schedule train in the Yangtze River Delta region was launched from Yiwu. This train, which departs Yiwu every Saturday and returns to Duisburg every Friday, covering a total distance of 11,505 kilometers, now operates weekly, reducing travel time from 19 days to 13 days and significantly enhancing efficiency and market competitiveness.

Ye Xiaodong from Zhejiang Xinshilu Customs Brokerage Co Ltd highlighted the train's speed, convenience, cost-effectiveness, and safety, making it the preferred choice for transporting goods like daily necessities, machinery, and hand tools to countries such as Germany and Spain.

Xu Shefei, who runs a store in Spain, has benefited from the Yixin'ou freight train. The train gives him a stable logistics alternative to sea and air transport.

In addition, over the past decade, customs, railway departments, and other stakeholders have implemented measures like 24/7 appointment customs clearance to support the high-quality development of the service.
