The inauguration ceremony of the Emerging Market Merchant Empowerment Alliance was held in Jinyi New District, Jinhua, on Aug 7.

Key cross-border e-commerce platforms, leading service providers, and representatives from Jinhua's e-commerce enterprises gathered to discuss new trends in cross-border e-commerce.

Jinhua has been actively promoting the integration of cross-border e-commerce and industrial belts to better connect manufacturing with international markets.

In 2023, Jinhua's cross-border e-commerce imports and exports were valued at 113.34 billion yuan ($15.79 billion), ranking third in Zhejiang province. The city has 60,400 active cross-border e-commerce sellers and 123,700 stores on major platforms, leading the province in both categories.

Jinhua is also the only prefecture-level city in China with two industrial belts selected among Alibaba International's "top 10 digital foreign trade industrial belts."

To explore emerging markets and promote brand exports, Jinhua has formed the Emerging Market Merchant Empowerment Alliance with 10 major cross-border e-commerce platforms, including TikTok, Shein, Mercado Libre, Temu, Rakuten, Miravia, Amazon, Cdiscount, AliExpress, and Jiku. This alliance aims to provide e-commerce enterprises with more resources to expand into international markets and enhance their brand value.
