The 10th Jinhua City Games international wrestling competition began at Lanxi Sports Center on Aug 6. The event features 96 athletes from Wucheng district, Jindong district, Wuyi county, Pujiang county, and Lanxi county.

In the 9-meter diameter wrestling ring, competitors showcased their skills in techniques like spinning and pinning, demonstrating the sport's blend of strength and strategy. The intense and decisive moves captivated the audience, earning rounds of applause.

Wrestling combines power and intelligence, testing athletes' explosive strength and reaction speed.

"I competed in the men's Greco-Roman 75+ kg category. Despite being lighter in this weight class, I cleverly countered my opponent's attacks and found opportunities to strike back, ultimately winning the match," said Wang Hao from the Pujiang team. "I love sports, especially wrestling. I'm thrilled to participate in the game and gain experience. I hope to compete on bigger stages in the future," added Wang.

The competition aims to provide a platform for young wrestlers to exchange and learn, enhance their practical experience, and improve the overall level of competitive wrestling. Running from Aug 6 to 7, the event features men's Greco-Roman, men's freestyle, and women's wrestling categories, with 34 gold medals up for grabs.
