A train carrying 76 twenty equivalent units of small commodities and blankets departed from Yiwu Railway West Station on July 23, bound for the Yueqing Bay Port Area of Wenzhou Port.

This marks the launch of the Yiwu-Wenzhou Port SITC sea-rail intermodal weekly train, operated by Yiwu International Land Port Group. The train will run every Wednesday and Sunday.

Upon arrival at Wenzhou Port's Yueqing Bay, the cargo will be transferred to the Zhuangyuan'ao Port Area via short-sea shipping and then shipped to Southeast Asia, including Malaysia and the Philippines.

Yiwu exports approximately 140,000 TEUs of goods annually to Southeast Asia through market procurement trade. With the rise of cross-border e-commerce in Southeast Asia, demand for exports to the region is increasing. Wenzhou Port, a key near-sea shipping center in southern Zhejiang, has expanded its number of foreign trade routes to 16, covering Southeast Asia, Japan, and South Korea. For example, shipping from Wenzhou Port to Manila now takes only about one and a half days.

Moving forward, Yiwu International Land Port Group will leverage Wenzhou Port's strategic location to regularly operate the Yiwu-Wenzhou Port sea-rail intermodal train, enhance railway port capacity, and develop a central Zhejiang near-sea route consolidation center.
