Jinhua in Zhejiang province is set to invest 3.8 million yuan ($524,548.17) in the transformation of 72 parks into child-friendly spaces this year.
This renovation initiative focuses on the physical and psychological development needs of children across different age groups. By incorporating botanical elements, the project aims to enable children to "learn through play", thus enhancing their sense of fulfillment, happiness, and safety, according to authorities.
Wuzhou Park successfully completed its child-friendly renovation on May 18. The park now features five new sets of children's play equipment, including a swing bridge, swings, and rocking horses.
In addition, over 3,000 ornamental fish, such as koi, have been introduced into the park's landscape water system, and three new fountains have been installed to further beautify the environment.
