Jinhua's top official meets Rwandan Patriotic Front delegation

Zhu Chonglie, Party secretary of Jinhua, met with a delegation led by Wellars Gasamagera, secretary-general of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) on Feb 3.

During the meeting, Zhu extended a warm welcome to the delegation, emphasizing Jinhua's eagerness to collaborate with Rwanda's local governments to effectively implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both nations.

Zhu further articulated the authorities' commitment to deepening high-quality cooperation in line with the Belt and Road Initiative. He also highlighted the city's dedication to strengthening international collaboration, expanding trade across various sectors, enhancing industrial cooperation, and promoting deeper cultural exchanges.

In response, Gasamagera expressed sincere gratitude for the thoughtful and warm reception extended by Jinhua and conveyed best wishes for a prosperous Chinese New Year to the people of Jinhua.

He emphasized the enduring close ties between Rwanda and Jinhua, emphasizing the continuous deepening of cooperation and exchanges across various fields.

Gasamagera also reflected on the delegation's experiences during their visit, noting their observation of Jinhua's remarkable achievements in economic and social development, the vibrancy of its commercial markets, the richness of its traditional culture, and the warmth of its people.

Moreover, Gasamagera expressed hope that the visit would serve as an opportunity to collaborate on promoting the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative. He also emphasized the desire to further deepen cooperation between Rwanda and China in economic and trade cooperation, industrial collaboration, cultural exchanges, vocational education, and sister city construction, aiming to benefit the people of both countries.

During their visit, the delegation visited various sites, including the Hengdian World Studios, Woodcarving Town, the Yiwu International Trade Market, Lizu Village, and Zhejiang Normal University. Additionally, they enjoyed a performance of Wuju Opera and engaged in discussions aimed at further promoting pragmatic cooperation between the two sides.
