Wuzhou Ancient Town in Jinhua, Zhejiang province has been designated a national tourism and leisure block, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced on Dec 27.
The town, which was built in the year 192 in the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220) and 902 in the Tang Dynasty (618-907), was the city's political, cultural, and military center throughout its early history.
The town, which is currently home to six intangible cultural heritage museums related to traditional Chinese medicine, pottery making, and wine brewing, is a great place to explore the city's history and culture.
A wide array of activities, such as cultural relic exhibitions, temple fairs, beer and music festivals, and culinary contests have also been held to provide new experiences to visitors.
