The Pujiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, situated in Pujiang county, Jinhua, Zhejiang province, opened to the public in 2019. It houses a diverse collection of over 600 Intanglible Cultural Hertiage (ICH) items.
Within this impressive collection, six items have received national-level recognition, while 12 hold provincial-level status. Additionally, 48 and 84 items are recognized at the city and county levels, respectively. The exhibit includes paper-cutting, tree root-carving, and bamboo-weaving works, as well as farming tools, home furnishings, and clothing accessories.
Among further highlights, visitors can listen to traditional folk stories and myths narrated in the Pujiang dialect. Best known for its exquisite wood, stone and brick carvings, the museum itself is housed within an ancient residence dating back to the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1736-1795) of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
The Pujiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum is open from 8:30 to 11:30 and 14:00 to 17:00 Tuesdays through Sundays, with free admission.
