The 12th China Golden Pin Industrial Design Contest was held in Jinhua, Zhejiang province on Dec 13, according to local media reports.
The contest received 911 entries from home and abroad, and 44 works were awarded prizes.
The works focused on fields such as electric garden tools, smart homes, outdoor leisure equipment, and industrial internet platforms.
Representatives of the Jinhua government and the China Industrial Design Association signed a strategic cooperation agreement to strengthen cooperation in holding industrial design contests, cultivating design talent, and creating public service platforms.
Authorities have in recent years been making efforts to advance the in-depth integration of industrial design and industries and promote the sustainable development of the manufacturing industry.
Jinhua is currently home to one industrial design center at the national level, 33 at the provincial level, and 195 at the city level, which provid services to 2,334 manufacturing companies.
