Zhucun village in Wucheng district, Jinhua, Zhejiang province, has in recent years been exploring means to develop characteristic industries as part of efforts to achieve common prosperity.
The village tapped into its abundant land resources and introduced a succulent planting company in 2015, which can plant more than 100 million plants per year and generate sales of 500 million yuan ($70.23 million).
The company also held training courses for locals and provided support for the development of study tours, which have also boosted other sectors such as homestays, agritainment, and agricultural products sales.
More than 300 residents are involved in the industry, and their incomes have significantly increased.
