Nine exhibiting companies and 11 entries from Jinhua in Zhejiang province showcased the city's profound historical and cultural heritage and booming cultural industry at the 4th Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industry Expo, which opened on Nov 16 at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai).
Entering the Jinhua exhibition area, a locomotive model of the first Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe China-Europe train can be seen. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the launch of the "Belt and Road" initiative. Jinhua, as an important participant and witness, took the "Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe" China-Europe train as a model and cleverly created a three-dimensional display space in the exhibition area to showcase Zhejiang. The vivid picture of transporting small commodities to all parts of the world has opened up a large international market for China.
Shangshan Culture was another major highlight of the Jinhua exhibition. The grain of rice unearthed from the Shangshan site has aroused strong interest among many viewers. In November 2000, archaeologists discovered the Shangshan ruins in Jinhua's Pujiang county. This one grain of rice dating back about 10,000 years is the oldest cultivated rice that can currently be confirmed in China and the oldest rice ever to be discovered globally. At the scene, through a carbonized rice induction interactive device, the overall exhibition of Shangshan culture brought an immersive experience to visitors.
