Fifteen projects in Jinhua, Zhejiang province have been recognized provincially for their achievements in scientific and technological innovation, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology announced on Nov 10.
Among them, 11 projects were carried out by private companies, indicating that enterprises' innovative capacity has improved significantly.
The other highlight is the high efficiency of the city's enterprises in the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.
This was largely due to the implementation of a series of measures rolled out by authorities, including introducing research institutes built by universities and institutes, strengthening the construction of corporate research institutes, improving the system for scientific and technological innovation and the commercialization of achievements, and deepening reforms in the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.
Jinhua is currently home to 139 provincial-level corporate research institutes, 26 university research institutes, and three provincial-level new R&D institutions.
