Jindong district, Jinhua, Zhejiang province formed delegations comprising more than 80 companies to attend the sixth China International Import Expo held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10.
The companies achieved great success during the event, with two agreements worth 600 million yuan ($82.85 million) signed to procure Kazakhstan barley and electrolytic copper.
The district's buyers actively explored new opportunities and sought cooperation and secured prospective orders worth $16 million, a 15 percent increase from the previous year.
The expo featured eight main exhibition halls, including the Food and Agricultural Product Exhibition Area, Automobile Exhibition Area, and Consumer Goods Exhibition Area. Fifteen major global automobile brands, 10 industrial electrical enterprises, 10 medical device companies, five shipping companies, four grain merchants, and three mining giants participated in the event, showcasing over 400 new products, technologies, and services.
