Jinhua's GDP up 6.7% in Q1-3

The GDP of Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province was valued at 419.89 billion yuan ($57.53 billion) in the first nine months of this year, up 6.7 percent year-on-year, according to statistics released by the Jinhua bureau of statistics on Oct 24. 

The added values of the city's primary, secondary, and tertiary industries were 10.61 billion yuan, 168.54 billion yuan and 240.74 billion yuan, respectively, a rise of 3.5 percent, 4.3 percent, and 8.5 percent. 

Its agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery industries registered a year-on-year increase of 3.9 percent to 18.8 billion yuan during the nine-month period, while the added value of Jinhua's large-scale industries expanded by 3.1 percent to 91.96 billion yuan. 

Stable growth was seen in its service sector, which registered a year-on-year growth of 8.5 percent in added value. 

Over the same period, the city's investment in fixed assets recorded a 17 percent increase, while the city's retail sales of social consumer goods recorded an uptick of 6.5 percent to 226.94 billion yuan.

The city's imports and exports amounted to 586.14 billion yuan, up 15.9 percent year-on-year, while the number of newly registered market entities in Jinhua in the period was 312, 000, increasing by 32.7 percent.

Income levels also improved. The city's overall per capita disposable income in the first three quarters of this year increased by 5.3 percent to 47,919 yuan, with the per capita disposable income of urban residents rising to 56,723 yuan and the figure for rural residents reaching 30,672 yuan.
