The 28th China Hardware Fair was held in Yongkang, a county-level city in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, from Sept 26 to 28.

The exhibition area, which covered 91,000 square meters and was the largest to date, attracted 63,500 exhibitors and attendees, a year-on-year increase of 17.59 percent.

A total of 1,500 enterprises from home and abroad displayed their latest products at the fair, with transactions amounting to 9.32 billion yuan ($1.23 billion), an uptick of 6.41 percent year-on-year.

One of the highlights of the event was the establishment of an exhibition area for imported products, where 12 international brands make their debut.

Meanwhile, the 1st China (Yongkang) Smart Lock Industrial Chain Fair was also held, at which 129 companies showcased their leading products.

In addition, a series of activities, including an exhibition for high-tech achievements, the China Hardware Industrial Design Exhibition, and a global hardware procurement matchmaking meeting, were held to serve as a bridge connecting the Yongkang-made products with global buyers.

The success of the event was largely due to efforts made by the organizing committee to offer better services to attendees, including optimizing parking layout, upgrading the exhibition environment, streamlining procedures for registration, and rolling out customized bus services.
