Yongkang, a county-level city in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, has been making efforts to help local enterprises expand their overseas markets over the past few years.

Efforts include mobilizing companies to attend overseas exhibitions, connecting supply chains, establishing partnerships with renowned exhibition enterprises, and helping companies establish overseas warehouses.

The Yongkang commerce bureau has made an exhibition calendar for companies intending to attend domestic and overseas exhibitions, as well as rolled out a slew of policies to help enterprises broaden their customer pool.

Authorities have established cooperative ties with companies including Zhejiang Time Exhibition Co to attract more overseas exhibitions and businesspeople to bolster its exhibition economy.

The local government has also been striving to help companies establish branch offices, research and development centers, and overseas warehouses at home and abroad.

The city's exhibition service system and international marketing system have received provincial recognition.

Yongkang is currently home to 48 enterprises which have invested a total of $300 million in 25 countries including the United States, Germany, Brazil, Thailand, and Malaysia. The investments are mainly related to fields such as manufacturing, wholesaling, scientific research and technical services.
