The rebuilt Jinwu Bridge, located in the Jinhua Economic and Technological Development Zone and spanning the Wuyi River, officially opened to traffic on Sept 6.
The former Jinwu Bridge was the first cable-stayed bridge in Jinhua at that time. Its 64-meter main tower was a landmark in the Jinhua Economic and Technological Development Zone. Restoration work started on Nov 30, 2019, with a total investment of 330 million yuan ($47.33 million).
The rebuilt one is 696 meters long in total. The main bridge is 265 meters in length and 40 meters in width. The main tower is a steel structure arched tower column, which is 82.4 meters high and weighs 2,148 tons. It is in the shape of an inverted water drop.
As an important river crossing in Jinhua, the bridge is expected to make the daily lives of residents more convenient.
