Jinhua releases action plan to become child-friendly city

Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province recently released an action plan aimed at transforming itself into a child-friendly city.

The plan is designed to prioritize children's interests and needs throughout society. Jinhua will focus on areas such as child-friendly social policies, public services, rights protection, spaces for growth, social environment, and industrial ecosystem to establish a comprehensive support system in its nine districts and counties.

The plan also focuses on the spiritual and cultural lives of children by encouraging the creation and dissemination of children's books, nursery rhymes, dances, dramas, animations, radio and television programs, and other cultural products to cultivate children's cultural brands.

Authorities will establish a high-quality and balanced child-friendly service system, develop inclusive childcare services, support the high-quality and inclusive development of preschool education, promote the balanced and high-quality development of basic education, expand the supply of children's medical resources, strengthen child health services, and increase the supply of children's cultural and sports services.

The plan also focuses on children with special needs, such as orphans, children with disabilities, and children in difficult circumstances, offering them care, assistance, and rights protection.
