Wu Xianhua, a resident of Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, said she boxes, exercises, or sometimes takes her grandson to the pocket park near her home, as the park offers an array of fitness amenities.

The park, which is equipped with facilities such as slides and swings and adorned with decorations inspired by the Asian Games, provides a glimpse into authorities' efforts to build pocket parks over the past two years.

These small green spaces provide a place for families to relax and children to play, contributing to a sense of community and happiness, said a local official.

With 50 new parks created last year and an additional six completed this year, Jinhua is transforming its urban landscape in preparation for the Asian Games. These parks not only enhance the aesthetics of the city but also serve as a reminder of the upcoming event, fostering a sense of unity among residents.
