Liaotou village in Wucheng district, Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, has in recent years paved a green path to common prosperity.
For example, authorities launched a campaign to protect drinking water in 2013 by shutting down and relocating poultry farms.
After closing the poultry farms, the village has been tapping into its natural resources – bamboo forests - to develop related industries such as bamboo shoot processing, which will in turn increase residents' incomes.
The village also held a bamboo culture festival this year to promote its bamboo shoots and expand sales channels.
Cao Zhengyue, Party secretary of the village, noted that authorities are planning to build a wellness center and a camping base based on its lush mountains and clear waters, which will play a key role in bolstering the village's tourism.
