Pan'an county in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province has held a series of events to boost rural tourism.

For example, the county's Panfeng township held a cycling race on July 23, with more than 230 cyclists from across the country participating.

Lyu Huanben, a cyclist from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, said that the Gaolaoshan scenic area provides breathtaking views throughout the race.

Panfeng authorities have also held other events such as a camping festival and chess tournament to welcome the upcoming Asian Games.

Dong Jun, Party secretary of Panfeng township, said that they will showcase the local cultural and tourist attractions through the sports events and further promote the upgrading of tourism consumption.

In addition, Pan'an held lotus flower festivals in Hushang and Shuxian villages, which attracted flocks of tourists.

The county will hold more than 80 activities including a musical festival and folk customs events this summer to boost cultural and tourism consumption.
