Dongyang's GDP grows 7.3% in H1

The GDP of Dongyang, a county-level city in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, totaled 36.6 billion yuan ($5.12 billion) in the first half of 2023, an uptick of 7.3 percent year-on-year, according to official statistics.

The added value of the city's primary, secondary and tertiary industries stood at 877 million yuan, 16.18 billion yuan, and 19.54 billion yuan, respectively, increases of 3.3 percent, 5.3 percent and 9 percent year-on-year.

The added value of Dongyang's large-scale industries hit 8.24 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.9 percent.

The city's total retail sales of social consumer goods rose by 9.5 percent to 17.79 billion yuan, and online retail sales were worth 4.42 billion yuan, up 12.7 percent year-on-year.

Income levels also improved. The city's overall per capita disposable income increased by 7 percent to 34,355 yuan over the period, with the per capita disposable income of urban residents rising to 39,828 yuan and that of rural residents rising to 24,499 yuan.
