Imports and exports of Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, were valued at 369.41 billion yuan ($51.74 billion) in the first half of this year, an uptick of 15.2 percent year-on-year, according to statistics from Jinhua Customs.

Specifically, the value of exports totaled 316.75 billion yuan, up 11.2 percent year-on-year, while imports amounted to 52.66 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 47.3 percent.

This was largely due to the implementation of a series of measures rolled out by authorities to stimulate foreign trade, including providing financial rewards to foreign trade companies and subsidies to such companies that participated in overseas exhibitions.

Authorities have also formed 108 delegations comprising 2,042 companies to attend international fairs since last December and received 21.3 billion yuan worth of potential orders.

Jinhua Customs has taken efforts, including establishing special liaison mechanisms to facilitate cross-border trade and reduce costs for enterprises.

In addition, authorities have been ramping up efforts, including optimizing supervision, trading and services, to upgrade market procurement trade.
