Jinhua's GDP grows 7% in H1

The GDP of Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province hit 273.3 billion yuan ($38.2 billion) in the first half of 2023, up 7 percent year-on-year, according to statistics released by the city's bureau of statistics on July 25. 

The added value of Jinhua's primary, secondary, and tertiary industries stood at 7.15 billion yuan, 109.67 billion yuan, and 156.49 billion yuan, respectively, increases of 3.2 percent, 4.1 percent, and 9.2 percent year-on-year.

The city's agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery industries registered a year-on-year increase of 3.3 percent to 11.63 billion yuan during the same period.

The added value of Jinhua's large-scale industries expanded 2.2 percent year-on-year to 59.44 billion yuan during the first six months of this year, while the added value of its service industries rose 9.2 percent year-on-year.

The city's total retail sales of social consumer goods recorded an uptick of 6.8 percent to 149.33 billion yuan, and the value of its foreign trade rose 15.2 percent year-on-year to 369.41 billion yuan.

Income levels also improved. The city's overall per capita disposable income in the first half of this year increased by 5.3 percent to 33,192 yuan, with the per capita disposable income of urban residents rising to 38,659 yuan and that of rural residents rising to 22,558 yuan.
