A total of 171 companies in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, attended the 31st East China Fair in Shanghai from July 12 to 15.
The companies set up 285 booths showcasing products ranging from kitchen and bathroom items and everyday goods to home textiles.
The companies have made thorough preparations, including analyzing buyers' preferences and optimizing exhibits and promotion booklets, so that they can receive more orders.
A representative of Zhejiang Suoxin Foreign Trade Co said that his company is developing new products and expanding markets in RCEP member states such as Japan and South Korea amid the increasing trade frictions between China and the United States as well as a shrinking European market.
A staff member of Zhejiang Yide Home Textile Co said Japanese and South Korean buyers prefer novelty products, so her company has been focusing on the research and development of new products, leading to more prospective orders at the fair.
