Date of establishment of friendly exchange relations with Jinhua: September 2018
The city of Chateauroux is located on the left bank of the Loire River in the Center of France and is upstream of the Indre River.
Located in the middle of Europe, it boasts convenient transportation infrastructure – with airports, railways and highways. The Chateauroux International Airport has a 3,500-meter runway and has international passenger and cargo services.
The Chateauroux railway station connects to the capital of Paris and the city of Toulouse and it takes two hours to reach Paris by train. The A20 highway goes south to Spain and north to Germany.
In September 2018, Jinhua and Chateauroux signed an agreement on the establishment of friendly city exchange relations.
In April 2020, Jinhua donated 24,000 medical face masks to Chateauroux to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
