Pujiang county in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, has over the past 20 years been making efforts to drive common prosperity.

Specifically, authorities have been focusing on bolstering its traditional and emerging industries, with agreements on 13 projects with a combined investment of 16.39 billion yuan ($2.27 billion) signed in the first half of this year. The county's GDP from January to May increased by 6.5 percent year-on-year.

The projects are related to industries such as 5G information, photovoltaic and high-end equipment manufacturing, which will lay a solid foundation for Pujiang's common prosperity efforts.

The local government has also been channeling more resources into upgrading the living environment, developing a village-level collective economy and protecting farmland, to improve people's well-being.

In addition, authorities have offered guidance to help residents take advantage of natural resources to develop rural tourism. The county's Yuzhai township is currently home to 38 agritainments and 48 homestays, which have provided jobs to more than 1,000 residents.

The per capita income of the township's residents increased from 16,549 yuan in 2015 to 40,100 in 2022.
