As night falls, the exhibition halls of Wuyi Museum light up with the "Brilliant Mineral Crystals Science Popularization Exhibition", which explores the past and present of minerals.

"Wuyi is the hometown of fluorite. Growing up surrounded by it, I never realized that there are so many beautiful mineral crystals hidden deep underground. It's truly a visual treat," exclaimed Ms Pan, a local resident, while taking an evening stroll with her children, unexpectedly encountering the delightful surprise at the county museum.

Since May 18, International Museum Day, Wuyi Museum has taken the lead in implementing an evening opening policy and has established a normalized practice of monthly themed exhibitions.

According to authorities, the evening exhibitions are primarily held at the various village museums within the county, focusing on topics such as Niu Tou Shan plant specimen illustrations, brilliant mineral crystal illustrations, selected collections, Wei Dong's student calligraphy and painting works, lion culture images, and National Day special newspaper publications.

"To complement the exhibitions, we have also developed a curriculum for village museums, providing diverse interactive and educational activities and creating a platform to showcase village museums," explained the person in charge of the county museum.

The evening policy not only enriches the exhibitions at the county museum and enhances the visibility of village museums but also illuminates the precious cultural relics during the night, providing people with more opportunities to engage with culture.

Wuyi is currently home to 35 village museums.
