Yongkang, a county-level city in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, held a hardware-themed exhibition in Poland on June 6.
The exhibition, which was the first that Yongkang has held in Europe, attracted buyers from 12 countries including Poland, Germany, Russia and Ukraine.
More than 50 enterprises in Yongkang attended the exhibition, setting up 64 booths to showcase their hardware products.
The enterprises benefitted greatly from the exhibition, with more than $32 million worth of prospective orders reached at the fair.
A representative of Yongkang Jinlong Tool Manufacturing Co said that he received an order worth 25,000 euros ($27,218.05) on the first day of the exhibition and reached a preliminary agreement to cooperate with more than 10 customers during the event.
Authorities have been making efforts to help enterprises participate in exhibitions overseas, with more than 200 enterprises attending 20 such exhibitions this year.
The local government has also established cooperative ties with more than 20 chambers of commerce, including the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce and the Belarus Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, to attract investment in the hardware industry.
