Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province held an investment promotion conference in Hong Kong on June 26, launching an entrepreneurship program catered for young people in Hong Kong and Macao.
Zhu Chonglie, Party secretary of Jinhua, Yeliu Shuyi, a member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong, Li Zhong, president of the Hua Jing Society, and Jiang Xueli, head of Invest Hong Kong, delivered speeches during the event.
Zhu expressed the hope that Hong Kong and Jinhua will establish cooperative mechanisms, make full use of their complementary advantages, set up close economic and trade ties, and conduct in-depth cultural and tourism exchanges in the future.
Yeliu noted that Jinhua's outstanding traditional culture and remarkable social and economic achievements provide great potential for bilateral cooperation.
Li gave a high appraisal of Jinhua's youth entrepreneurship program and said that the Jing Hua Society will cooperate with Jinhua to create a favorable environment for young people from Hong Kong and Jinhua to start businesses.
Jiang pointed out that they will hold a variety of investment promotional events to help Jinhua enterprises expand overseas markets.
Agreements for eleven projects related to film and television, high-end manufacturing, trade procurement, and social cooperation were signed during the event.
