The 2023 Asian Sepak Takraw Championship was held in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province on June 20, with eight teams from seven countries and regions in Asia attending the competition.
Abdul Halim Bin Kader of the Asian Sepaktakraw Federation expressed his gratitude for the Jinhua government's support for the event and said that the federation will ensure that the tournament will strictly follow competition rules and procedures.
Zhang Yadong, deputy director of the Sport Bureau of Zhejiang Province, expressed hope that Jinhua will take the contest as an opportunity to test its facilities, staff members and services for the Asian Games sepak takraw competitions, which Jinhua is set to host, along with the soccer competitions.
