Authorities in Wucheng district in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, have in recent years been making efforts to advance digital transformation in the city's manufacturing sector.

For example, Jinhua Olun Technology Co, a national high-tech enterprise focused on research and development, manufacturing, and sales of auto-exhaust catalysts and silenced exhaust systems, has undergone digital transformation.

Production efficiency has improved four times over manual assembly, and has also attracted high-end customers such as Geely, Cherry, and BYD, said Wan Xiaoyan, a representative of the company.

The in-depth integration of the internet and manufacturing sector has played a significant role in upgrading products, improving capacity and optimizing resource allocation, said Ren Hualin, vice-president of Zhejiang Wanliyang Co, a major auto spare parts provider in the district.

Such digital application scenarios are commonly seen in Wucheng's manufacturing sector, where information about products, order status, and equipment operation is provided by scanning QR codes and monitored by large screens.

The district is currently home to 243 enterprises above designated size, of which 60 are "little giant" enterprises and six are "hidden champion" enterprises.
