The Zhejiang Normal University Sino-African Exchange Museum in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province opened to the public on May 24.

Experts and scholars from more than 30 African countries attended the inauguration ceremony.

The 400-square-meter museum has three exhibition areas for displaying the history of Sino-African ties, bilateral exchanges in fields such as infrastructure, healthcare, education and culture, as well as the history of the Institute of African Studies of ZNU.

Enthusiasts about Sino-African friendship donated cultural items including African cultural relic carvings, commemorative stamps and documents to the museum.

The items vividly represent the current situation and history of Sino-African exchanges in politics, economy and trade, culture and arts, said Liu Hongwu, head of the Institute of African Studies of ZNU.
