Authorities in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province held a series of cultural events to welcome the upcoming Asian Games on May 23.
Two hundred activities, including Asian Games songs, Asian Games quizzes, art performances, and cultural fairs are being held to encourage more people to participate in the Asian Games.
A ceremony presenting volunteers with a flag was also held on the same day, calling for writers and artists to make contributions to the Games.
The Asian Games will take place between Sept 23 and Oct 8 in Hangzhou and five other cities in Zhejiang province — Ningbo, Wenzhou, Jinhua, Shaoxing and Huzhou, with Jinhua to host the sepak takraw and soccer competitions.
